Steel structures / Livestock and poultry farms
The constructions intended for raising animals and birds must be designed in such a way that they strictly comply with the technological process specific to each farm. Whether we are talking about poultry farms, pig farms or cattle farms, the structure, ventilation, thermal insulation and compartmentalization must be adapted to the requirements of raising, biosecurity and technological flows.
MeCAD has designed and executed over the years farms for laying hens, fattening pig farms, full-cycle pig farms, as well as halls for raising cattle. Each project is carried out according to the technology chosen by the beneficiary and the specific requirements of each species.
In the case of poultry farms, the halls must ensure:
- precisely controlled temperatures, depending on the age of the chicks
- adapted industrial ventilation (tunnel, transverse or mixed)
- insulation solutions to limit heat loss
- lighting systems and automations in accordance with the breeding technology
For laying hen farms, the design must take into account the type of breeding:
- battery breeding
- aviaries
- ground breeding
Each technology has additional requirements in terms of panels, ventilation, floors, water and feed supply, manure disposal and biosecurity.
In the case of pig farms (fattening or full cycle), the design must ensure:
- separate areas for each stage (gestation, maternity, young, fattening)
- controlled ventilation and air conditioning to reduce concentrations of noxious substances
- appropriate floors (slots, industrial concrete, manure flows)
- panels and compartments resistant to moisture and corrosion
For cattle farms, the design adapts to the type of operation:
- shelters with natural or forced ventilation
- spaces for feed, milking, young and technical areas
- separate circulations for animals and equipment
Regardless of the species or type of farm, MeCAD designs the constructions so as to comply with all technological conditions, biosecurity requirements and sanitary-veterinary norms.
We adapt to each technological solution and ensure an efficient, durable metal structure that is perfectly compatible with the machinery and zootechnical equipment used by the beneficiary.
